Not All Who Wander Are Lost

One of the greatest blessings in my life is that I am able to travel. When I used to tour solely to perform, I only saw the airport, hotel, concert hall and if I was lucky, one major landmark before I had to move on to the next destination. Now that I take the most of the month of August to take a break and travel for leisure, my violin accompanies me as a companion not a schedule.

If I had to choose the one thing I love most about traveling is that it gives me perspective. It’s easy to get caught up in our own little world at home or at work. When I fly among the clouds, sail through the ocean, and get lost in tiny alleyways thousands of miles from home, I see things and myself through a different lens.

I love photography because it allows me to share exactly what I am seeing at that micro-second. Here is one picture from each town I walked through on my last trip.  For more pictures, find me on Instagram.
